While I’m trying to figure out how to procure enough images for my first real feature, I’ll distract you with this feature that showed up on my Twitter feed (thanks, @NintendoTheory!) about the gender divide not in the games, but the industry itself. It’s a short read, but will give you a bit to think about while I continue assembling my first “real” post.

“You were probably just tired. I wouldn’t worry about it.
It’s bad for your complexion, you know.” —

Shuji Ikutsuki, from Persona 3 Portable.

The notable thing about this re-re-release is that you can choose the gender of your main character, and that it (supposedly) changes the entire dynamic of the game. It’s true, it does change things, but having played the tutorial sections for each main character, I’m not convinced all of the changes are good ones.

However, reading some men complain about how weird it feels to play as a girl is really amusing for obvious reasons.
